Objectives of the Israel Healing Initiative (IHI)
Trauma Assistance
Our specialist psychologists will directly assist local mental health professionals with trauma therapy to individuals across different age groups, including children, adults, and the elderly. |
Knowledge Transfer
We will ensure knowledge transfer and sustainability of the project by working closely with local professionals. Our specialists will provide ongoing guidance, mentorship, and resources to ensure the continued improvement of trauma treatment techniques in the region. |
On-going Treatment
We will donate effective Therapeutic Home Devices empowering survivors to continue the vital healing process on their own. Additionally, survivors will have online access to a network of stateside psychologists to continue this support. |
Community Engagement
To promote a comprehensive approach to mental health care, we will engage with the community to help reduce stigma and raise awareness about the importance of seeking mental health support during times of crisis. |
Volunteer Psychotherapists from the United States
We are recruiting 100 therapists from the U.S. who have experience in trauma therapy who will be trained and provide virtual therapy to assigned clients for up to 2 hours per week for 10 weeks. |
