What Happens in The Vagus Doesn't Stay in The Vagus
We are offering a free two-day training for Israeli healthcare professionals, focusing on the implementation of innovative brain- based strategies to complement the treatment of severe trauma. These techniques can be used simultaneously to accelerate traditional trauma treatment or as a stand alone training.
The course will review basic functioning of the nervous system, guiding therapists on techniques to help their patients relax and optimize brain functioning for more effective trauma treatment. Professionals will learn research-supported methods for patients to manually reduce nervous system activation. We'll introduce heart rate variability monitoring and training devices. Instructions will be provided to activate the vagus nerve and specific brain areas to help restore wellbeing. Finally, WET (Written Exposure Therapy), endorsed by the U.S. Department of Defense, will be introduced. The first 20 applicants of each training will receive a complimentary device after the training is completed, upon agreeing to the terms and conditions for use in Israel. Those who receive the device are asked to donate five hours to help restore wellness to a trauma survivor. Please fill out the following application.
